Congress's Arts and Crafts

Congress plans to do lots of cutting. Think of this post's title as a pun. It's not an artsy thing. Nor beneficial... or rather, HARDLY beneficial. Congress is thinking of cutting pay for our dear soldiers. I'll admit I'm not an extreme-ist when it comes to supporting troops, BUT I do support them. As I have stated, Congress wants to cut soldier's saleries, which I find, (excuse my language), is completely bull. Soldiers risk their lives for us, for our country, which ironically, Congress runs. (But without the people, who is there to govern?) Our soldiers, marines, air force, all of them, don't get enough pay already, especially considering the standards they live in. I believe that I have a better proposition; cut Congressmen/women's pay. They get paid way too much, coming from our pockets (our taxes). Which isn't fair. Especially when the soldiers risk lives for us, while Congress lives the good life.
Cuts have been made at our education system. In fact, a school I know have laid off (+-)10 teachers this year. One which does include the band teacher. Music shouldn't be cut from schools. Nor should teachers. Music is beneficial to a student's life. Music heals, helps escape, and brings joy. Studies show, students involved with music (very less likely the hip-hop/mainstream kind) have better grades, or are more happy.
Besides music getting cut, teachers are too. Teachers are VERY VERY VERY important. Without them, how do the students learn? Busy parents can't help. Extra classes require tuition, which many parents don't prefer. What does that leave? Less-intelligized students. Which, in the future, can lead to a low economy. Why? Well, let me be crude for a second. If these students, learn less, there is less knowledge. Which means, they won't comprehend as well of how to spend correctly, or save and such. Of course not everyone can do that, but just strategicially speaking of course.
Education is important, as well as music classes. Soldiers need pay. A good pay too, since they're risking lives. Let's cut something less needed, like the big, fat, juicy salaries that the Congresspeople get. They have more than enough. Actually, much agreeing with Jay Leno's joke, we SHOULD get a refund of our money everyday a Congress person DOESN'T work. I think citizens would love that idea :)
